A BOMB squad had to be called to Wiltshire Police's headquarters after a "suspicious package" was found.
The building, in Devizes, was partially evacuated during the incident yesterday afternoon.
A police spokesman said: "At approx 4.30pm yesterday, part of police HQ in Devizes was evacuated as a precaution after a suspicious package was found on site.
"Colleagues from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team arrived on site and after examining the contents confirmed that the package was not dangerous. The incident was dealt with quickly. Staff later returned to the site."
