PHONES and cash were seized after four suspected drug dealers were arrested at an address in Salisbury.

Officers were called to an address in a street off Queen Alexandra Road at around 10.50am today, with concerns the occupant was being "cuckooed".

Cuckooing involves drug dealers taking over the home of a vulnerable person in order to use it as a base for drug dealing.

Police attended the address to carry out a welfare check on the occupant, and found four men inside the property.

The four men, believed to all be in their 20s and from the London area, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

They are currently in Melksham custody for further questioning.

PC Matt Roberts said: “This is an example of just how important it is to report any concerns regarding suspected drug activity to the police so we can take action and not only arrest individuals, but protect vulnerable people within our communities at the same time.

“Officers acted quickly following this initial report and were able to attend the scene and locate four individuals in the property who were subsequently arrested and are now in custody. Our enquiries continue.”
