PLANS have been submitted to build a new cafe in Salisbury this summer.
Wafflemeister are hoping to open a branch on the High Street, next to Cafe Rouge.
The building has been empty for more than a year, and was previously a Hill House Hammond Insurance Services.
Alex Nettle, from Wafflemeister, said: “Over 2 million of the most delicious handmade Belgian Liège waffles are sold every year from Wafflemeister stores at prestigious locations including Oxford St, Wimbledon and Kingston Upon Thames and now we’re bringing this mouth watering concept to Salisbury High Street.
“Each waffle is traditional, authentic and completely and utterly delicious.
“Our heavenly gelato is handmade in Italy using a generations-old recipe.
“Each tube is hand-filled for the smoothest gelato this side of the Colosseum.”
Works will include alterations to the interior and exterior of the building, and the opening hours will be 9am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
A target date for decision is Monday, July 22, and more information on the plans can be found at bit.ly/2x1XKiL
