A MAN is in a critcal condition after a hit-and-run on the A303 in Amesbury.
The incident happened yesterday (Friday, June 21) on the eastbound carriageway near Solstice Park.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "At approximately 4.50pm yesterday (Friday 21 June) a car was in collision with a male on the A303 Eastbound near Solstice Park.
"The vehicle involved failed to stop and our investigations are on-going to locate the car and its occupants.
"The injured man was taken to hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a critical condition."
The section of the A303 was closed for several hours and reopened at 9.30pm last night.
