MORE than 35 young Scouts raced go-karts in a special event.
The Scouts, from Amesbury, Alderbury, Bourne Valley, 3rd Salisbury, and 4th Salisbury, raced against the clock over a 200m track at Old Sarum Airfield.
In first place was Emily Brown from Bourne Valley (38s); Second was Charlie Swindlehurst from Bourne Valley (41s); Third was Katie Stansfield (42s).
Following the event, organisers sent out a “big thanks” to Old Sarum airfield manager Angus Beal for “letting us use the perimeter road again for our races”.
They added that the “quality of karts” has improved from last year with “most” riders finishing the course.
The annual event will be back next year, with April 18 set as the provisional date.
