The Journal Camera Club winners for June have now been announced.

To celebrate 50 years since the first moon landings, this month camera club members were asked to take pictures of anything and everything to do with space, for a chance to win a £50 Love2Shop voucher.

And judges awarded first place to Audrey Blyth for her take on Gaia, the art installation in Salisbury Cathedral, for her “thoughtfulness and use of the Font to create a new dimension”.

Nick Bull’s moon over a field of poppies came in a close second for catching a “beautiful moment in nature while capturing an element of space”, as Maria Cronin’s sunset was awarded third place for its “interesting use of surroundings”.
