SALISBURY have added another couple of re-signings to their squad for the forthcoming season with news Danny Young and Jake Wannell are back for another season.

Young is a real fans’ favourite and joined Salisbury when the side reformed in 2015 and so has been part of two promotion campaigns and will hoping it will be a third this year.

Wannell missed the end of last season due to a serious Achilles injury in Salisbury’s game against Poole.

The central defender is making a good recovery, but will not be fit until about a month into the league season.

Claridge said: “I am pleased both are back. I know what Jake is going through as I have had the operation and we are not going to bring him back to soon.

“I don’t want him to play one month and be out for another six months.”

The Salisbury boss admitted he has missed out on some of his targets due to money and said: “There are teams who are paying more than us and we can’t compete with them. The same way some teams can’t compete with us.”

“The players we have lost is no fault of our own it is due to their circumstances and of course they will be difficult to replace, but I not going to rush into signing anyone.”
