Baroness Scott of Bybrook OBE, leader of Wiltshire Council, said: “We’re delighted and honoured to be hosting Armed Forces Day National Event in Salisbury.

“On Friday, three days of celebrations start as Salisbury, and the county of Wiltshire, shows its support for our armed forces – serving military personnel, veterans and cadets – and thanks them for all they do to protect us and keep our country safe.

“This will be the biggest Armed Forces Day National Event to date. There’s a packed programme across the three days, with a military parade through the city, an air display, parachute teams dropping in, military displays, an attempt to create the largest human poppy, and three nights of great live music.

“We’re looking forward to a truly memorable three days that will celebrate all that Salisbury and Wiltshire have to offer.”

Kicking off tomorrow, the opening day is dedicated to serving military personnel and their families, with live music from Shine for Salisbury winners Duck n Cuvver, and headliners The Feeling.
