A BAR with "great cocktails, great food and great people" will be opening in Salisbury next week.

The Dancing Moose is set to open to the public on Friday, July 12, from 9am, becoming a new place in the city offering food, drinks and live entertainment.

The restaurant bar on Blue Boar Row will be replacing Bill's, which, as reported, closed at the end of May to focus its renovation works on other branches.

Originally from Johannesburg, general manager Jarrod Cronje is "very excited" to be opening the venue which will be "unique and new" for the city.

Mr Cronje added: "We're bringing the culture and adventurous spirit of The Dancing Moose to Salisbury. It will be informal and retro, and we're a real fun group.

"There will be lots of cocktails, so great cocktails, great food and great people."

The Dancing Moose already has restaurant bars in Bournemouth, Penn Hill, Ashley Cross and Wimborne Minster.
