Looking back on their opening two pre-season games which saw wins over a Reading under-23s 1-0 and 3-0 over Lymington, thanks to Dave Gerrard, an own goal and Warren Bentley.

Claridge said: "I felt we did well against Reading, but were average against Lymington."

The Whites continue their pre-season campaign at home to Aveley on Saturday (3pm).

The Isthmian League Division One North side warmed up for their trip to the Ray Mac with a 9-1 win over Essex Senior League side Redbridge.

On Tuesday night (7.45pm), Salisbury are at home again when they entertain League Two Swindon Town.

Claridge said: "Aveley missed out in the play-offs like we did last season so this will be a good test for us and Swindon are bringing a strong team on Tuesday."
