A JOB fair will be held at the end of the month, giving people the opportunity to learn all about working in the adult social care industry.

On Tuesday, July 30, The Help to Live at Home Alliance’s adult care job fair takes place in Salisbury City Hall, from 10am until 2pm.

Organised by Wiltshire Council and NHS Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), information stalls and staff will be on hand to educate and advise visitors about beginning a potential career in adult care, as well as the rewards this sector provides.

Laura Mayes, Wiltshire Council cabinet member for adult social care, described the field of work as “extremely rewarding and fulfilling”, adding: “I would urge anyone who has often thought that it’s a career path they wish to follow, to come to our fair armed with questions and get everything they can out of it.

“As we saw at our recent Proud to Care Awards, we are lucky to have high quality adult care staff working in Wiltshire.

“We’d be delighted for more people to join them so that local residents continue to get the very best support.”

The fair, held in two weeks, is free to attend and no advance booking is necessary, the council has confirmed.
