A MAN has made contact with police after an appeal was launched following reports of criminal damage to vehicles in East Dorset.

The incident occurred at approximately 4pm on Monday 22 July 2019 in a layby near to All Saints Parish Church on Ringwood Road, St Leonards.

It was reported that damage was caused to a silver Ford Mondeo, a silver Citroen C4 and a blue VW Golf that were parked in the layby.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Following a photo appeal, a 26-year-old man from Hampshire has made contact with police. No arrests have been made."
