ALL Hands On Deck is the latest offering from award-winning theatre company Mikron.

It is a love story between the Royal Navy and their loyal Jenny Wrens.

New WRNS (Women’s Royal Naval Service) recruits Ginger and Lily are looking for wartime adventure. Lily wants to serve on dry land but Ginger is desperate to serve at sea – and the sailors cannot believe their luck. Ginger and Lily find themselves in uncharted waters on a journey they will never forget.

The show is being performed on Sunday, August 4 in St Mary’s Church Hall in Fordingbridge. Doors open at 1.30pm for 2pm. It pays tribute to all those wartime women and is brought to life by four actors with live music, songs and instruments.

After watching Mikron’s previous productions Revolting Women, In At The Deep End and Canary Girls, forest LIVE promoter Louise Jordan said: “Mikron Theatre Company bring stories to life in a truly unique and engaging way. Their original productions are fun, fast-paced and full of adventure, providing entertainment for the whole family.”

Jordan says she was impressed with Mikron’s commitment to raising awareness of social history, adding: “The Women’s Royal Naval Service was formed in 1917, playing an invaluable role in both the First and Second World Wars. It is important that we celebrate the many contributions of the WRNS over the past century. What better way to do so than with an award winning theatre company who have been creating and performing original work since 1972?”
