AN “OUT of this World” experience has opened in Ansty.
The famous Maize Maze has reopened for the first time since 2012, with a space-themed course to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
Organisers said: “We are launching in true style! Every year in the past we theme it on a great event that is happening that year and this year is no exception.
“Lost in Space is themed around the launch of the moonlander, and is great summer fun for the whole family.”
The five-acre challenge started in 1999. It costs £6 per person to attempt, or £20 for a family of four.
They added: “In the early days we sent people in with flags and we would go in and rescue [people who got lost].
“We used to have night parties in the maze where people tried the maze in the daylight, had a BBQ and then went back in to solve it in the dark!
“On one occasion one lady did get lost and we had to go in with torches and find her.”
The maze is located at Ansty PYO & Farm Shop, SP3 5PX.
