TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery, following an attack on a woman near Salisbury Train Station.

On July 22 at around 9pm, a woman was walking away from the city train station when she passed a group of men who were stood by the exit.

Two of the men then followed her into Dews Road and grabbed her briefcase.

This caused her to fall to the floor, where she hit her head and sustained multiple bruises and grazes.

The pair then ran off with the black leather briefcase, which contained a purse with cash, bank cards, CD player, diary, pink pashmina, makeup and other items.

Following enquiries by PC Lou Poole, Salisbury CCTV and the Community Tasking Team, two men, aged 38 and 42 from Salisbury, have been identified and arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The pair have now been released under investigation.
