TAP dancers from Wiltshire have secured one of the second place spots in a European dance competition.
The Tap Attack Team for Great Britain competed in the IDO European Tap Championships in Prague in June, and received the silver accolade in the European Adult Trio category, against 11 other dance groups.
The trio included 14-year-old Francoise Western, who studies at South Wilts Grammar School for Girls, attends Salisbury Dance Studios and has been a member of Tap Attack for around three years.
The tap dancing trio was completed with Lauren Peacey and Eleanor Meredith, and led by Jo Scanlan and coaches James Doubtfire, Jessica-Jo Marshall, Jack Evans and Ryan Campbell-Birch.
Debbie Chinn, Francoise's mother, said the family "just couldn't believe it", adding: "We were in tears and the girls were absolutely beside themselves.
"To compete on different stages around the world is just such a good experience for them, it's on another level."
Francoise previously competed in championship events as part of Tap Attack in Germany, both in 2017 and 2018, and is now training to compete in junior categories solo, duet, small group and formation, as well as the adult trio division.
Debbie added: "Francoise absolutely adores [tap dancing], she loves it, so we just go along with her and support in any way we can.
"She is extremely fortunate to be a member as they get so many brilliant opportunities."
