DISCOVER what it takes to be a volunteer tour guide at Salisbury Cathedral.
The cathedral is holding a volunteer guide discovery day on Saturday, September 14 at 4pm.
The afternoon starts with an introductory talk in the Chapter House, followed by special trip up to the West Window above the Nave, and a tour of the cathedral’s historic graffiti as well as a chance to meet the guiding team one-on-one.
There are around 260 cathedral floor guides, working in 13 independent guiding teams doing morning and afternoon shifts.
