DESPITE the incredible heat it was all the fun of the fayre for visitors to Verwood on Bank Holiday Monday, who attended the town's annual Rustic Fayre.
Visitors were treated to an array of stalls, sideshows and arena events, including duck herding, ferret racing and a martial arts display, as well as an exhibition of 200 of the finest classical cars and vehicles in the south, presided over by proud and knowledgeable owners.
The event, organised by Verwood Rotary, was opened by the town's carnival queen and princesses before the 3 Cross Dog Agility team started off events in the main arena with terrier racing later.
Elsewhere the Bourne River Morris Men entertained, dancing at various locations along the park whilst the popular Flamin' Ukes of Ringwood lead a hearty singalong to a number 60s hits including Da-do-ron-ron.
Local charities, including Marie Curie, were selling gifts and bric-a-brac and the Fayre's popular car-boot sale returned to boost crowd numbers further.
