TELLY chefs the Hairy Bikers are calling on the people of Dorset to help them raise some dough for people with multiple sclerosis (MS) this autumn by holding or joining their Cake Break.

Down-to-earth duo Dave Myers and Si King are challenging people in the South West to host a Cake Break - where you make cakes to sell to friends and colleagues to raise vital funds for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) on Friday October 4, or a different date that works for you.

Dave was eight years old when his mum was diagnosed with MS: “Within two years Mum was in a wheelchair and Dad and I became full-time carers," he said. "It was hard going. Back then there was hardly any support for people affected by MS. But I do remember the MS Society opened so many doors for me as a young lad and my family – it made our lives just that bit better.

“There’s been a great deal of work done to support those with MS, but there’s so much more we can do and we need to raise as much money as possible. And what better way to get a slice of the action than by hosting a Cake Break? Go on, grab a brew and share your bakes with your mates.”

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be sent a 'flan-tasti'c Cake Break fundraising pack with exclusive Hairy Bikers' recipes as well as decorations, a collection box and cake-inspired games to help you spread the word as well. then, said Dave: "Share your results on #CakeBreak2019."
