MORE than £2,086 was raised was raised for Salisbury Hospice Charity.
The money was raised by Value Cars who held its first charity cricket match and family fun day on August 25 at Laverstock and Ford Cricket Club.
The day saw Value Cars All-Stars take on Laverstock and Ford Cricket Club in a hotly contested match.
Alongside the cricket, there was a barbecue, bouncy castle, bucking bronco ride, tombola, cake and craft stalls, face painting, a football shooting game, and live bands.
The day raised £2,086.76 for the hospice.
A spokesperson for Salisbury Hospice Charity said: “A huge thank you firstly to all the team at Value Cars and Executive Connection and Laverstock and Ford Sports Club.”
Salisbury Hospice Charity needs to raise £1.5 million, more than 60 per cent of the £2.4 million needed to maintain its palliative care services.
