A round-up of cases heard at Salisbury magistrates:

CHRISTOPHER EVANS, aged 43, of Haragon Drive, Amesbury, has pleaded guilty to stealing from the Co-op in Solstice Park, Amesbury on June 11. He stole two bottles of Jack Daniels to the value of £42. The defendant has been discharged conditionally for 12 months and has been ordered to pay compensation of £42.

THOMAS NICHOLL, aged 38, of Larkhill, Salisbury, has pleaded guilty to being drunk in charge of a vehicle in Amesbury on August 3. 72 microgrammes of alcohol could be detected in 100 millilitres of breath. He has been fined £433 and has been ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £43 and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. His driving record has also been endorsed with 10 points.

TRAFFORD SHARPE, aged 21, of Glendale Road, Durrington, has indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting an emergency worker. The incident took place on July 20 in Amesbury, where the victim was beaten. Sharpe has been ordered to pay compensation of £100, a surcharge to fund victim services of £90 and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. He must also undertake 100 hours of unpaid work and attend rehabilitation activities.

DAVID THORNTON, aged 26, of Elm Grove, Salisbury, has pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood on July 30 in Melksham, to assist police investigations concerning a previous offence. He has been fined £110 and has been ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and £50 to the Crown Prosecution Service. He has also been disqualified from holding a driving licence for 13 months.

JOHN WATTS, aged 44, of Burnet Way, Salisbury, has pleaded guilty to using abusive words or behaviour in Salisbury on August 3. He has been fined £80, and has been ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

LEWIS CAMERON, aged 19, of Furrlongs, Newport, has been issued with a warrant for arrest without bail, for a string of offences taking place on June 21 at Salisbury District Hospital. The defendant caused disturbance to a NHS staff member and refused to leave the premises when asked to do so, and caused damages totalling £250, by destroying a water cooler and ripping a phone from the wall. Additionally Cameron possessed 0.11g of cannabis.

KEVIN GOSLING, aged 59, of High Street, Tisbury, was found guilty of assault. The incident took place on December 23 last year in Tisbury. The defendant has been ordered to attend rehabilitation activities and must pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £90.

NICKY LYONS, aged 36, of Barnard Street, Salisbury, has been issued a warrant for arrest without bail for assault. The incident took place on August 4 in Salisbury where the victim was beaten. Additionally the defendant failed to surrender to custody at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on August 23.
