THE circumstances surrounding a dead body found near Stonehenge have been described as "not suspicious".
Wiltshire Police confirmed the find in Amesbury yesterday afternoon, which was at a site off the A303 between the Countess and Longbarrow roundabouts.
A statement released by Wiltshire Police this morning said: "Following the discovery of the body of a man yesterday in a field off of the A303 near Stonehenge our enquiries at this stage lead us to believe that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
"We are in the process of contacting his next of kin and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner for Wiltshire."
