A WOMAN was left needing treatment following a collision in Andover earlier today (Friday).

Emergency services were called to the scene at 11.08am to reports of a crash between a commercial van and a car.

Fire crews from Andover and Whitchurch assisted a woman from the car and she was left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Officers from Hampshire's Road Policing Unit were also on hand to deal with traffic while the road was closed.

A spokesperson for the fire service said that crews returned to their stations shortly after 11.34am.

The extent of the woman's treatment is not yet known.
