TICKETS are now on sale for Salisbury’s award-winning festival, Celebrate Voice.

Celebrate Voice says it will stage its “biggest festival yet, and for the first time, bring all their celebrity and community events under one roof, with international stars from the worlds of opera, jazz, music theatre, folk, cabaret and comedy.

This year’s event sees a 200-seat pop-up theatre take centre-stage in Guildhall Square from October 25 to November 2.

Festival founder and artistic director Lynsey Docherty said: “This has been a dream for many years, to bring a venue to Salisbury which enables all festival events to take place under one roof, and in such a prominent setting in the city centre.

“The Piccolo will be a buzzing centrepiece for music, song and celebration, and its presence means the festival becomes more visible, more accessible and a magnet for anyone wanting to witness world class talent, support local performers, or take part themselves.”

The programme features a top line-up of award-winning artists: international opera singers for a new production of The Marriage of Figaro; top names in jazz, Joe Stilgoe and Georgia Mancio; Broadway World’s ‘Best Cabaret 2019’, Miss Hope Springs; West End star Janie Dee, and a new venture into comedy with award-winning film star and stand-up comic, Dave Johns from I, Daniel Blake.

Tickets are on sale via the City Hall box office on 01722 434434 or via celebratevoice.co.uk where more information can also be found about the line-up.
