DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays during rush hour tomorrow as one lane of the A303 eastbound near Mere remains closed.
The closure was put in place after a specialist barrier was severely damaged during an incident in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, September 8).
Highways England says the one lane closure of the carriageway between the B3092 near Zeals and the B3095 near Mere is still in place and has urged drivers to "prepare for delays during rush hours in the area".

The road had been closed between the junctions of the B3092 near Zeals and the B3095 near Mere over safety concerns due to "severe damage" to a bridge parapit barrier.

Emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision at around 12.10am.
Fire crews from Mere, Wincanton and Gilingham attended along with police and the ambulance service.
