FRESH milk is now available from a dispenser in the centre of Wilton.

Provided by Nunton Farm, residents have enjoyed more than 680 litres of milk since the dispenser was launched, and it was officially opened in the South Street car park on Friday.

The site hopes to encourage more visitors into the town while reducing plastic waste, as people can use a refillable glass bottle.

Mayor of Wilton, Ivan Seviour, officially opened the site, and the ceremony was also attended by Wilton Town Council and John and Shell Martin from Nunton Farm.

Councillor Seviour said he was "delighted" to open the dispenser in such a central location, adding: "The council is always pleased to support local business, particularly as this is a ‘green initiative’, [for example] buying a glass bottle which you then refill, so a little less plastic being used.

"It is super milk straight from the farm and we wish Nunton Dairy every good wish with this new venture."
