ANDOVER residents, both young and old, had the chance to see the town’s firefighters in action.
On Sunday the London Road station opened its doors for a family fun day.
Youngsters enjoyed themselves dressing up in the crews’ uniform and even having a go with the hose - under the guidance of trained firefighters.
Others marvelled in the dunk tank, where members of the station were dropped into thanks to a good aim.
A particular favourite was a visit from the Hampshire Fire Dogs, which were alongside personnel from the police and ambulance service.
As well as displays, there were stalls, refreshments and fundraising for a number of charities with raffles, bric-a-brac and a house where people can go and test themselves spotting potential hazards.
The open day raised funds for The Firefighters’ Charity and Naomi House and Jacks Place.
