THOUSANDS of participants lit up Longleat for the final Glow in the Park at the venue to support Salisbury-based charity Alabare.

Alabaré have been hosting the event at Longleat annually since 2016 and it has raised more than £100,000 to support its work with the homeless and vulnerable.

The event on Saturday, September 7 saw those taking part jog and dance their way around the different “glow zones” in a fun-filled night on the 6km course.

Alabare’s fundraising and events manager Rebecca Mullen said: “We have been privileged to have been able to bring our Glow in the Park events to Longleat and in the process raising thousands of pounds to support those in our services. We hope that those who have taken part in the events have enjoyed them as much as we have.”

The participants were welcomed to the event by Viscountess Weymouth, Emma Thynn, who made a special journey down to the event despite her involvement with this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Alabare thanked everyone who has supported the events over the years and the volunteers who haven given up their time to make them possible.

It also thanked Longleat and in particular Viscount and Viscountess Weymouth for allowing the charity to use the venue, and Serve On and Team Rubicon UK volunteers for giving up their time as marshalls and Disco Dion for supplying the tunes to keep the crowds entertained.
