CATAPULTS and bags of ball bearings were seized by police in Downton.

At around 9pm on Saturday evening (September 14), police received a report of a window being damaged at a property in Moot Gardens.

Officers carried out patrols in the area and stopped a group of three boys, aged 12 and 13, and seized three catapults and bags of ball bearings.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "The boys were given strong words of advice and officers have spoken to their parents.

"We are aware of concerns in the Downton area about antisocial behaviour involving children and teenagers and we are carrying out extensive work to try to tackle this, including increased visibility patrols.

"We would urge anyone who has concerns about anti-social behaviour to call us on 101, or 999 in an emergency."
