SALISBURY Law Courts was evacuated this morning after the police were made aware of threats made to the courts.
A section of the A36 Wilton Road in Salisbury was also closed by police, at around 10am this morning.
A statement from the police said: "At approximately 10am this morning, we were made aware of a threat made to the law courts in Salisbury.
"As a result of this information and as a precaution, we evacuated the courts and closed a section of the A36 Wilton Road while extensive searches and enquiries were carried out.
"Enquiries will continue to establish the full circumstances, however, nothing suspicious has been located and court has now resumed. The road has reopened.
"Thank you for your patience during this incident."
The bus company tweeted at 10.34am that six of its buses were experiencing "significant delays" due to Wilton Road being closed by police.
There are significant delays on the PR3, R8, R10, 2, 25 & 26 because a road is blocked. WILTON ROAD HAS BEEN CLOSED BY POLICE. REASON CURRENTLY UNKNOWN. FURTHER UPDATES TO FOLLOW.
