It is not known if the driver of the Peugeot had sustained any injuries, but witnesses have said they walked from the vehicle.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We received a call at 11.20am this morning, to a report of an overturned black Peugeot on the eastbound carriageway of the A303 near Salisbury.
"At this stage we do not believe anyone has been seriously injured, but emergency services are at the scene.
"We are aware that traffic is building up in the area so we would urge people to be patient."
