A MAN sustained bruising to his head, ribs, arms and legs after being attacked by a group of males in Wilton.

The incident is reported to have taken place in the North Street area between 6pm and 7pm on Sunday (October 6).

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "We are investigating a report of a serious assault whereby a male was attacked by a group of males on North Street in Wilton. The assault took place on the pavement and a vehicle was also involved."

The victim, a local male aged in his twenties, was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Four people were arrested under suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. A 14-year-old male, 16-year-old male, 18-year-old male and 19-year-old male have all since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
