HALLOWEEN fun takes over Corfe Castle for half term week.

Crafts sessions will be available in the outer bailey and the family-friendly Corfe Castle Quest will take place.

James Gould, operations manager for the National Trust at Corfe Castle, said: "Half term is also the time to have fun with friends and family playing medieval games and finding the missing pumpkins as you explore the castle ruins.

"There’s a chance to try on medieval costumes and be a knight or maiden for the day and if your teddy is really brave, bring him or her along to help rescue one of our knights from the clutches of King John along the death-defying zip wire."

Other soft toys are also just as welcome and there are bravery certificates for those who complete the challenge.

Meanwhile, Warwolf II – the medieval siege engine – will be launching missiles high overhead each day at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 3pm.

The half term programme runs from Saturday, October 26, until Sunday, November 3.
