ANIMAL welfare checks at a Salisbury property turned into police discovering class B drugs.
Yesterday officers from Wiltshire Police and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) attended an address in Salisbury following concerns of the treatment of animals, but later discovered a quantity of cannabis.
A number of animals were located and were checked over by a vet, but none were removed from the property.
Advice and guidance has been given about their care.
Following the discovery of the drugs however means the tenant will be interviewed by police.
