A round-up of cases from Salisbury Magistrates' Court:

MICHAEL RAY, aged 35, of Burden Drive, Bishopdown, pleaded guilty to driving after exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit. When driving a Volkswagen Touran along Ashlands, Ford, on July 14, he had 85 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He has been fined £742, and has been ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £74 and pay costs of £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service. He has also been disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months, which will be reduced to 17 weeks if he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State by September 9, 2020.

CRAIG WOOD, aged 32, of Archers Way, Amesbury, has pleaded guilty to damaging the living room window of an Amesbury property belonging to Radian Housing Association on February 3. He has been ordered to pay compensation of £100.

COREY WEBB, aged 32, of Exeter Street, Salisbury, was found guilty of being on a train without a ticket. The defendant was found without a valid ticket on May 5 at Bristol Temple Meads. He has been fined £440 and has been ordered to pay compensation of £7.10, a surcharge to fund victim services of £44 and pay costs of £140.

GREGORY RIX, aged 73, of Becket Way, Laverstock, was found guilty of speeding in Tisbury. On May 26 the defendant, driving a Honda S2000, exceeded a 70mph speed limit along the A303, Woodbine Hill. He has been fined £193, and has been ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and pay costs of £85. His driving record has also been endorsed with six points.

IONUT ZAMFIR, aged 20, of Porton Road, Boscombe Down, Amesbury, was found guilty of using a car without the correct insurance or security policies on March 26. The defendant used the Peugeot 206 along Mils Way, Amesbury. He has been fined £660, and has been ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66 and pay costs of £85. He has also been disqualified from holding a driving licence for one year.

LIAM BOULTON, aged 31, of Barnard Street, Salisbury, has admitted breaching the requirements of a community order made by Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court on June 28. He failed to attend induction appointments on July 11 and 18, and failed to provide evidence of a reasonable excuse for not attending. He must pay costs of £60 and carry out 50 hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months. He is also required to attend rehabilitation and alcohol treatment activities.
