HUNDREDS turned out in Salisbury to mark Armistice Day.
Falling silent for two minutes at 11am this morning, locals paid their respects in Guildhall Square.
Led by the Salisbury branch of the Royal British Legion, the ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, including the city mayor Councillor John Walsh.
Prayers and speeches were also read out, including the famous words of poet John Maxwell Edmonds, which read: "When you go home, tell them of us and say. For your tomorrow, we gave our today."
