PEOPLE in Warrington drink on average two-and-a-half days in a week and exercise for around two hours.

A new study has placed Warrington as the 9th healthiest town in the north west – and 165th in the country.

Babylon Health collected data from more than 38,000 users of its Healthcheck app from across the UK.

They assigned an overall score to every local authority district in the UK, based on nine indicators of a healthy lifestyle.

It included

• Diet: Alcohol units per week; drinking (times per week); fruit and veg portions per day

• Smoking: Cigarettes per day; percentage of smokers; percentage of quitters vs smokers

• Exercise: Moderate exercise (mins per week); intense exercise (mins per week); resistance exercise (days per week)

In Warrington, people drink alcohol an average 5.5 units per week and an average of two-and-a-half days.

People eat an average 2.2 portions of fruit and veg each day.

Smokers have an average of 13 cigarettes per day.

There are more people quitting in a year than smoking.

People take part in an average of 117.8 minutes of moderate exercise per week, 33.1 minutes of intense exercise per week and one day of resistance exercise.
