A HAPPY cafe has launched in Salisbury, as a safe space for residents to talk about happiness and health.
Part of the Happy Cafe Network, the weekly sessions in Salisbury Arts Centre will encourage the public to come together for a drink and conversation, while providing information on how to improve individual wellbeing.
The cafe held its first official session on Monday, and around 25 people attended to celebrate the new service.
Organiser of the Salisbury Happy Cafe, Anna Maycock-Frame, said the turn out at the launch was “amazing”, adding: “We want people to feel they can talk about anything, from mental health to what’s on the telly.
"I do not think there is enough support for mental health in Salisbury, and so this is a really great place to just come for a chill and a chat, and there is information about mental health if that’s what people want to talk about.”
Sessions will be running every Monday between 11am and 1pm.
