THE Journal’s Camera Club winners for November have been announced.

The theme for the month was monochrome, with plenty of efforts ranging from architecture, nature and wildlife in a bid to win.

First place was awarded to Nick Bull, for his picture of a crow on a signpost near Stonehenge.

Judges praised the “atmospheric nature” of the picture, and appreciated especially the symmetry of the direction the crow is looking in and the direction of the sign.

Second place goes to Claire Shepphard’s picture of a lone horse at Deadman’s Hill in the New Forest, and judges complimented the way Claire captured the sun breaking through the clouds.

Third place was awarded to James Terry and his shot of the entrance to Salisbury Cathedral.
