AROUND 24,000 tickets have already been sold for this year’s pantomime production at Salisbury Playhouse.

Robin Hood started in the Main House on Saturday and runs until Sunday, January 12.

The production by Andrew Pollard is directed by Wiltshire Creative’s artistic director Gareth Machin.

Robin Hood is played by West End star Giovanni Spano (X Factor, ITV; Bat Out of Hell The Musical; Footloose; Rip It Up The 70s) while Nurse Nora Virus, this year’s pantomime dame, will be played by Adrian Grove (The Night Before Christmas, Salisbury Playhouse; Follies, National Theatre). Completing the cast is Alice Stokoe (Maid Marian) Greg Barnett (The Sheriff of Nottingham), Leonard Cook (Friar Tuck), Bernadette Bangura, Lauren Azania (Allan A’Dale); with Shane Gibb and Amber Sylvia Edwards in ensemble roles.
