MORE than 2,000 people have already attended Decorated Christmas Tree Festival, following its launch on Tuesday.
Around 100 trees are currently displayed in St Thomas’s Church to mark the start of Christmas celebrations, donated by organisations, companies, schools and individuals from across the city.
Alabare, Oxfam, NSPCC, Wiltshire Police, Men’s Shed, Salisbury for Europe and Casa Fina are just some of the tree providers, all with different titles and themes.
As well as the exhibited trees, live music will be entertaining visitors throughout the festival, with the line-up including choirs, solo musicians and musical performances by school children.
Visitors to the church can also enjoy some seasonal treats.
This year, the event is raising money for Care Home Volunteers and Family Counselling Trust.
Last year, more than 15,000 visitors came along to the festival contributing more than £15,000 to charity.
The festival runs until Sunday (December 8).
