THE newly revamped Shopmobility Centre in Salisbury celebrated its official opening.
Mayor John Walsh cut the ribbon at the ceremony on Wednesday, December 4. Councillors from Salisbury City Council were then given tours of the new centre by the Shopmobility team.
The refurbishment was carried out over the course of a year and included new windows, a larger reception area with a accessible reception desk, new décor, bespoke software and a new till.
Shopmobility is a scheme that enables people with temporary or permanent mobility difficulties to get about in Salisbury city centre and shop independently. Members of the scheme can hire vehicles and walking aids.For more details call 01722 328068.
