A WILTSHIRE Councillor ran as an MP in a Welsh constituency in the General Election - but did not win the seat.
Cllr Pauline Church, Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Skills and member for Wilton, was running for election in Cynon Valley.
Cllr Church came second in the vote - with 6,711 votes.

Labour's Beth Winter won the seat with 15,533 votes, a majority of 8,822.
There was a turnout of 59.1%
