THE week may have been dominated by a general election, but it was a busy one for business news before that.
1. A fraud probe has been launched after a "significant" amount of money disappeared from Bournemouth Coastal Improvement District (BID), the body that collects levies from businesses to promote areas such as Westbourne, Boscombe and Southbourne.
2. The chief executive of Dorset employer LV= is to stand down at the end of this year.
3. Also departing was the chief executive of loan company Amigo, as founder James Benimor returned to the board of the company.
4. Elsewhere in the loan industry, administrators were appointed as the owner of payday lender PiggyBank collapsed.
5. And brewer Hall & Woodhouse is investing in measures to take care of its staff's mental health.
