POLICE were called to the scene of a car fire in Ringwood in the early hours of New Year's Day over concerns about how the blaze began.
The alarm was raised shortly after 12.30am as the vehicle was spotted ablaze on the driveway of a home in Foxglove Corner, Highwood.
Firefighters from Ringwood and Fordingbridge attended and spent the best part of an hour extinguishing the flames.
The vehicle was destroyed.
Hampshire police officers are investigating.
- Early this morning (Saturday, January 4) fire crews from Fordingbridge and Cranborne were mobilised to a small fire involving burnt food at a house in Alderholt. Firefighters cleared the smoke and used a thermal image camera to check the property.
