A BANK card stolen from a purse in Salisbury was used to withdraw cash to buy a train ticket, say police.
Police have today (Tuesday, January 7) released CCTV images of a woman officers would like to speak to in relation to the theft.
At around 11am on Monday, October 14, a woman in her 70s was shopping at Marks and Spencer in the city when she noticed her shopping bag had been taken from her trolley containing her purse which had cash and bank cards inside.
One of the stolen cards was then used to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM and buy a train ticket.
It was also used to try and buy jewellery from a local jewellers but was rejected.
A police spokesperson said: "Since the theft we have been making extensive enquiries and are now in a position to be able to release CCTV images in the hope we can identify the person in the pictures."
