RESTAURANT and takeaway businesses in Salisbury are going to be coming together to discuss how they can use less plastic.
Saffron Indian Takeaway is working in partnership with The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the charity Plastic Pollution Awareness and Action Projects (PPAAP) to hold a “Curry and Conversation” session.
It takes place at SP2 Café and Community Centre, 159-161 Fisherton Street, Salisbury on January 20 from 12pm until 2.30pm.
The aim is to discuss how restaurants and takeaways can use less plastic and still offer great service to their customers.
Local caterers and customers have been invited to take part in a workshop with PPAAP to discuss the main challenges and potential solutions.
Rowsonara Begum, the manager of Saffron Indian Takeaway, said: “It is important to address this issue and essential we all do our part so we would welcome anyone to come along and engage in this conversation over curry provided by our team”.
