A CLASSIC musical that has not been seen in the UK since its original West End production in 1969 is coming to Salisbury.
Tracie Bennett and Harriet Thorpe star in the first professional UK revival of Jerry Herman’s musical Mame which is at Salisbury Playhouse from January 21 to 25.
Set in New York City and spanning the Great Depression and the Second World War, the musical focuses on eccentric bohemian Mame Dennis played by Bennett. But her life changes when she becomes responsible for a little boy after the death of her brother.
The original West End production starred Ginger Rogers.
The production also stars Darren Day, as well as Chase Brown, Grace Chapman, Lauren Chia, Soo Drouet, Jessie May, Hugh Osborne, Lewis Rae, Pippa Winslow, Benjamin Wong and Liam Wrate.
