A DOG who has spent more than 720 days in kennels has started life in her new home.
Noushka, a seven-year-old Alaskan malamute cross, has been at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre since September 2017, and was picked up by her new family on New Year’s Eve.
Prior to this, Noushka had been adopted twice but returned due to her dislike for other dogs.
The centre’s deputy manager Gaynor Cannings, said: “Noushka had become a firm favourite with staff and volunteers and we were all longing for her to find a home.
“We were thrilled when that right person came along and Noushka was adopted out in the New Year. Hopefully this will be 3rd time lucky for Noushka and a great start to 2020 for her. We have already had updates from the adopters and she has settled in well and enjoying her new home.”
RSPCA Ashley Heath cared for 41 dogs, 51 cats, five rabbits and 36 other animals on Christmas Day last year. The RSPCA’s 17 animal centres cared for 1,821 animals on Christmas Day last year and 2,537 animals were taken in throughout December 2018.
