A MAN accused of trying to “purchase” a 10-year-old child for his own gratification will face a judge next month.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning, Luke Brimson, 26, of Cherry Orchard Lane, Salisbury entered no pleas to charges he intentionally arranged or facilitated the commission of a child sex offence, engaged in sexual communication with a child, three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.
It is said Brimson was chatting online to an adult posing as a 14-year-old girl and asked an undercover officer working for the Metropolitan Police if he could buy the services of an underage girl.
Magistrates remanded Brimson into custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on February 28 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
